I've been in the same room as Tim Marriott, but I didn't pluck up the courage to speak to him. I was meant to be being a professional working person at the time...not a fangirl, unfortunately. But he was gorgeous. ;D

i've kinda met chris barrie, he was at dimension jump last year and i asked him a question, hes very friendly, and he's very funny, plus he stuck up for me when some git shouted out in the middle of my question, so yeah hes very nice, this year i'm hopfully gunna meet him face to face if he goes, if he does i'll put up a picy for you all, i have some pics their not brilliant, but if you want one, message me and i'll see which ones are best k *thats the same for most of the red dwarf cast lol*
I met Chris Barrie about a month ago in Yeovil at a car show stood next to his classic Rolls and Starbug from Red Dwarf. I spoke to him for about 15 minutes about Red Dwarf and Brittas. I even did my impression of Brittas which he said was pretty good. We chatted about the final episode and how it was filmed. He was such a lovely chap and a big hero of mine as I am a comedy actor too. I got a photo with him and his signature.
^Wow! I bet that made your day! If I ever saw Chris Barrie, I'd just freeze, I think. Maybe it's a girl thing, I don't know but I'd eventually make a definate attempt to talk to him while I could. I'd probably ask him to put on Brittas' voice. ;D
What impression did you make? The head shake or 'Eeeexcellent'? Just curious!

It did make my day. He was such a nice bloke and pleasure to talk to. He gave a me few acting tips too as I am a comedy actor.
The impression was "it was all a dream" with the hand movement. We were talking about the last episode and how it was filmed and Chris was trying to remember how it ended and I told him in Brittas’s voice and he laughed and said it was pretty good.
Oh, great! Well, it's not very often that you can say you got comedy tips from the lovely Chris! Did you get your photo taken with him by any chance or an autograph? I like Red Dwarf, but all I'd talk about is Brittas to him and I bet that would make a nice change for him. So it's nice to see your conversation with him was all Brittas-related! I can only assume a lot of the time, everyone talks to him about Red Dwarf.
And this was a month ago?! If I ever met him, I'd have to go and lie down.

I have to admit that the conversation wasn't all Brittas related although most of it was. As I am a big Red Dwarf fan too and we we're stood next to Carbug we chatted about Red Dwarf and even acted out some lines with him from the recent Red Dwarf: Back to Earth where Chris played Rimmer and I played Lister, The Cat and Kyrten we did the scene set in Carbug when there pulling in to Coronation Street as I am a bit of amateur impressionist and I can do the voices of the crew I played them in there voices which Chris loved. I was such a geek at one point when I corrected Chris on how they shot the Carbug scene.
It took me a while to go up to him because I did want to just say what everyone else says that way I got a good 15 minutes out of him rather then the two minutes everyone else got.
