Christopher Jonathan Barrie... Well, we've established his name.
Now, he has a dog... That's good...
What else is there?

I don't think there is anything else. *receives F for not knowing enough about his dog*

Wait! It's a chocolate lab! And it was on TV! And because I'm such an idiot, I nearly deleted this whole thread AND it's two minutes until my birthday, according to my phone, which I set to the speaking clock!

I finally found the article I KNEW I had when sorting through one of my many boxes in the garage - the article being a fantastic interview with Chris from the 'Radio Times'. I had forgotten how good it was and I really savoured reading it.... Anyway, back to canines - the dogs are mentioned there but it's hard to say whether the labrador mentioned is the current one or an old one. If it is the same one, whoever offered up the names (escapes me at this moment in time) is correct. According to the acrticle the lab is called Coco (spelt that way for some reason) and the german shepherd is called Dex (most likely short for Dexter - though you never know!!). So, full marks to whoever that was. Back to the interview, is it just me or is there something about people you *thinks for the best word...fails* know of and think are alright (ok, but it's better than Rimsy's line!!!) ;D... ANYWAY, that when they talk about carnal knowledge it tends to leave one a little distracted but happy?! It's the phrasing that makes me giggle though: "roger away till the cows come home".... Sounds even better in the context! Would it be wrong to put up transcription of the interview on here? I'd love for anyone who hasn't read it to have the opportunity, but methinks that might be a tad naughty. If you want to get hold of it in a legit manner, you could order a back issue. It's from the edition 24 February - 1 March 1996. Oh, while i remember, starting next week (if my memory serves me correctly) 'Discovery' are showing 'Massive Machines' again. Wednesday evening sometime, think it might have been 8. Check the TV listings. Just gives those of you who haven't seen it yet another place/time. Susie *apologises for long post and slight diversion from dogs*

Hey Susie, no need to apologise! Have you seen how off topic me and Totoffle went the other night? A transcript would be fantastic! And I wouldn't object to a transcript After all, it is an old magazine (almost ten years old) and hard to get hold of. *jumps up and down in excitement* Oh thank God! I haven't yet seen one episode of this series and I was starting to worry if I'd ever see it! Thank you Susie!!

Hey Susie, no need to apologise! Have you seen how off topic me and Totoffle went the other night? Us? Off topic? Never... We wouldn't do that... ;D Would it be wrong to put up transcription of the interview on here? I'd love for anyone who hasn't read it to have the opportunity, but methinks that might be a tad naughty. I certainly wouldn't object... I don't think that'd be a real problem, as long as it was credited... And even then... Yeah. Post away, I think

Ok, you twisted my arm! Here goes: the following is from the 'Radio Times' edition 24th February - 1st March 1996, an interview with Chris Barrie by Andrew Duncan and all credit therefore goes to the above. That should suffice. Thanks RT!! It reads: Part 2 to follow separetely - too long apparently! Susie X

Thanks so much for sharing that, Susie - it's wondermous! He does come cross as a genuinely likeable person... not that it should matter, but oh well. He's a doll in the Red Dwarf commentaries... I'd kill for TBE commentaries. ~sobs~
