WOOO! They both must realllllly like leather lol. Not necessarily. Owning leather pants (and wearing them) isn't the same as 'reeeeallllllly liking leather'.

hehe. Though, that could be a funny weird (and non canon, but funny!) fanfic... I haven't watched the later series for years, so I can't remember leather references.

hehe, the only reason it came to my mind is that they dont have a motorbike so it cant be for that, i just was joking by the way, not suggesting they are in to bondage or leather fettishes, but it would make a BRILLIANT flic lol

hey, i'm not going to be the one to write it. lol. I had enough trouble writing that christmas present to the forum. And yeah. I know you're only joking. Also... owning a pair of leather pants (and by pants, i mean trousers, since i'm australian) do not equal those things anyway. It's popular clubbing wear. Not sure about the 90s but our teacher told us that in the 80s he used to go to Leather Nights at the pub. ... yeah that was a weird conversation. But according to him, lots of people, not necessarily gay, and certainly not implying bondage or fetishes lol, had leather pants.

though... why am i even trying to talk about leather pants. I know nothing about them, other than random bits of conversation and people telling me that they're really hard to get into and out of, (apparently lots of people have to lie down to get into them) that they don't 'breathe', and that it's more to do with dancing and looking sexy while dancing, than anything too sexual, (though it *can* be)and doesn't necessarily say anything about sexuality, though it depends which decade. Hmn. heh. Now... on with regular conversation.

The blue tights are spandex.
Sports influenced clothing was popular during the 1990s. One of the most popular styles of sports clothing was spandex. Spandex tights were a popular girls fashion item during the early 1990s. Spandex tights came in a variety of bright colours, including fluorescents. In 1991, black became another popular colour in spandex tights. Beginning in 1992, spandex tights were gradually replaced by black tights. By 1992, spandex tights had also become popular as biking wear for men, in such colours as black and blue. Weighlifters and wrestlers also wore spandex. Spandex was also popular for cropped tank tops, resembling long-line bras; and the sports bra, a heavily lined and supportive fitness garment, was worn as outerwear.

According to my research, yep! People in the 80s and 90s did wear some pretty weird things when they exercised. It reminds me of those women's aerobics clothes, it could be part of that and he's just wearing the pants part...
