yeah he probably would... Tim wouldn't keep secrets from Gavin... thats why he had a fight with Gavin in series 5.

Yeah. At leeast he wouldn't keep secrets like this from him. Plus, it'd be pretty impossible, unless he's managed to hide his driver's liscence, and everything else, from him for how many years. Unless somehow he got a driver's liscence under his assumed name...

yeah im going with the thought that Gavin knew. So does Tim not have any brothers and sisters or anything? Does Tims mam know about Gavin?

I am almost 100% sure that Tim would have told her about Gavin, since he got so upset that Gavin didn't even mention him at all not even as a friend. I'm *sure* she knows that he's gay and with Gavin.
