How much holiday time do you think the staff get? Official holiday time, not 'the centre is closed for an emergency'.

It may not have been then. I can't remember when govenment legislation stated that the minimum holiday for all employees was 28 days.

I get twenty days holiday per year, plus paid bank holidays which don't come out of my holiday allowance. However, I do have to use some of my holiday between Christmas and New Year though, when our works is closed. We're forced to have those as compulsory holiday. I think back in the 90s it was probably 20 days too, but you can be forced to take Bank Hols as your holiday, if you were scheduled to work that day.

Im Australian, so we get 4 weeks a year. I work for the police but only the sworn officers - the ones in uniform - get 6 weeks a year.
