:)hey everyone...I was just watching 'Mr Brittas Changes Trains' for the umpteenth time...and you know when the staff see him playing with Ben's trainset...Jill Greenacre and Tim Marriott set me thinking. D'ya think there was a wee thing between them? Watch that bit and you'll see what I mean. Which brings me onto Chris Barrie and Julia St. John. Far be it from me; but I think they put more into their 'love story' than the script suggested. I don't think Brittas and Laura were supposed to fancy one another. It was just the way it was played... ...Which brings me further still onto the subject of Julia's age. Anyone know? And has anyone got any screencaps from any more recent shows that the cast have appeared in...like Touch of Frost with Julia....it's from 2003 - and I'm quite interested in how they all look now... Yours questioningly, Jenn xx

I don't know whether this comes from looking for slash evidence too much in Red Dwarf, but I'm always amused when watching early Brittas/Laura stuff. Even in the very first episode Brittas appears to be giving Laura loving looks every five seconds! C'mon, that's not a normal look you give to just anyone is it, lol?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. Actually I noticed it first in 'Back from the Dead' in series two
It makes me smile too. He does seem to be checking her out quite a bit.
The only things I have are a few photo's of Chris that I took in March and there's a picture of Tim Marriott on the firt page of the Tim Marriott picture thread that's a couple of yeas old...I'll do a bit of digging and see what I can turn up!!

Oooh yes, I noticed that too... Now that you mention it. Aww, Brittas-Laura love... (I'll have to go and watch Brittas now, I haven't done that for days and days, I miss it! So now is the time for Brittas... But what episode... There's just so many to chose from...)
I also noticed another little couple* on the DVD commentries to another show** that stars a certain someone who's in Brittas*** and is just... Mmm.
The above rambling that made no sense, is the product of my sniffly beginnings of a cold, and my rather bad day.
*That would be your Mr Barrie and your Mr Charles - is that wrong?! ** The rather weird one with the idiots in space. *** Mr Barrie, naturally.

Here's the first installment....hehe.... Chris is VERY distinctly looking at her backside/chest. Although with that lycra on...who can blame him. He's a guy, int he? Ohh yeah, and had Chris met Alecks during series 4 and 5? Just wondering.

lol. Just being a hot blooded male there, they can't help themselves. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think so. If he was married at all at that time it was to someone else (I think Alecks is his second wife??) I'm not really sure....

I heard the early series' Brittas/Laura...thing a while back, so I went and had a look, and I just don't see it... It's possible that I'm just being completely oblivious (very possible... ) but...wasn't he just as sickningly simpering around everyone? Meh. I could have phrased that better, but I'm going to blame my sore throat for all of it...*nods* *wheezes*

Ah thanks for that. I do get worried sometimes that I dreamed it (After all I did dream he was married to Marylin Monroe once, or at least someone who looked like her!)
It could verry well be, I do have a tendency to see things that might be there if you look in a mirror whilst standing on your head kind of thing. I think it's al the Slash, it can't be good for me!
And talking of colds, I'm waiting untill next week for mine. It always happens after Conventions, the whole crew seem to get ill. I remember I got a stinker after LFaCC nd several others went down with flu!!!

I only see it if I watch it hard enough, if I press my face against the screen when it's on. Probably cos I don't look for it. I read too much slash too!!!! Oooh Robbie's new song is on TFM! *Runs away to listen to Robbie*

By rights, there should be a law that Chris is allowed to marry whoever he wants, and have as many squealy fan-girls as his ever-loving wives as he wants.
^^ Again, the product of both my warped, 'I don't want to do this work' mind, and my stuffy head and blocked-up nose.
I think I'm going to have to watch 'Shall We Dance', just for the sake of it.
