I wonder if you guys can help me? Its about series 6. I saw series 6 when I was 9 but I can just remeber little bits about that series. Was Laura in series 6 at all? If she wasn't can someone explain to me why she wasn't? Thanx!

Laura wasn't in S6 because Julia St John left after S5...as did everyone else, for that matter.
Series 5 was supposed to be the end of Brittas, but the BBC wanted to carry it on, so they got new writers, and most of the old cast back...I think Julia had already committed herself to other things by then.
I never thought S6 and 7 were as good...especially not the cheapness of the overall ending. Liked that Linda turned out to be a nun though ;D

I'm missing all but the first episode of Season 6 on tape, and reduced to pre-ordering the DVDs from the UK, but I remember not liking it particularly. Season 7 had some brilliant moments, but I think the new writers had teething pains in 6, and I just could not see the point of Penny.
Laura was great, but it seems they felt the need to replace her to keep the numbers even, and she didn't really need a replacement. Gavin was perfectly capable of stepping into her place as Gordon's straight man.
And that sentence looks awfully queer now I look at it.

Only one week to the release of series 6 on DVD. I don’t seem to remember much of the final series so I look forward to receiving my copy of the DVD. Only one more series to come and that is due for release on May 23rd. I’m delighted that there has been enough interest in the show for them to issue the entire 7 series on DVD. It would have been nice if they had interviewed the stars of the show for the DVD’s, but I suppose that we can’t have everything.

*Is getting quite exited* Play.com are now accepting orders for series 7! In a way it's quite sad, that we've nearly got them all because there'll be nothing Brittasy to look forward to anymore It'll be fantastic to have them all though.... ;D

We thought you might like to know that we shipped a parcel today to: Australia containing: Brittas Empire, The - The Complete Series 6 (Two Discs)
Well, that was a lot quicker than I thought... Can't wait, I remember not liking the season much but I'm desperate for it anyway.
Why are the UK releases two discs, anyway? Three episodes a disc just seems silly.

*Is in love with series 6* I've just watched series 6 of both Brittas and RD, in two days, and I am on total Barrie-overload. *Worships DVDs* Quite sad though, because now I've seen every episode of RD, and there's not that much Brittas left But oh well ;D Series... Six... my two new favourite words... *Scampers off to congratulate Mr Barrie*

I'm off to Virgin tomorrow to buy it. And RD. Did have them both on pre-order, but had to cancel it cos of moving, seeing as I didn't know my new address then.
So I'll just dodge the pigeons tomorrow to go and get them.
