Oh Wicked! Can't wait to see it.
Here is my Christmas entry, hope you all like it.
'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the Centre
Not a person was stirring, not even a Manager
The reception was silent, closed up with care
Then the front doors slid open, Mr. Brittas was there.
Pool attendants, a receptionist and an assistant followed
"Eeeexcellent" Said a voice, echoing in the hollow
"Mr. Brittas!" Gasped Timothy "For it is Christmas Eve."
"Yes" Agreed Gavin "Tim's mum's at ours, why'd you make us leave?"
"We're a public service, Gavin. A customer could arrive.
Imagine the disappointed face on a small child.
We have to be ready for any occasion
What's if a Christmas game of Squash was a family tradition?
Think of others, that's what we do!
Those innocent people rely on you!"
A scruffy looking man nodded his head
The boss was right, in everything he said.
Linda was merry and Carole was too
Julie wondered how she'd make the whole night through
Tim made no attempt to hide his true feelings
Gavin tried to calm him by soothing and pleading
Mrs. Brittas turned up, she'd walked through the snow
She needed more medication, her supply was low.
"Darling!" Gordon cried, "You should be at home.
I didn't want you walking here all alone."
"Oh shut up, Gordon." She brushed him aside
"I phoned the milkman he gave me a ride."
Happy with the answer he gave her a smile
"Right then team, let's work in style."
Some hours had passed and noone had come
No wonder the staff looked oh so glum
Gordon checked the doors, they were jammed real tight
They'd all be here a while, at least for the night
Tim gave a cry shouting it's not fair
Dinner would be ruined, he was in despair
Mr. Brittas tried to calm them, at least they were together
Some people have no-one, not even a card or a letter.
The hours slowly passed with a sing song and a fight
Then Mr. Brittas looked at his watched and announced it midnight.
Everyone cheered and hugged one another
Tim kissed Gavin, and not like he would his Mother.
The doors slid open, with a jaunt and a creak
Everyone ran into the snow, the cold made them squeak
Gordon and his wife, smiled with delight,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night."
