Looked on 'Play' and apparently the only extras on series 7 is one extra episode, a Christmas special entitled "Surviving Christmas". Should be great don't get me wrong, but was hoping for more in the extras front. Perhaps they WILL release 'Get Fit With Brittas' separately on DVD with loads of extras - i really hope so. Is it worth contacting Eureka and requesting more?! [Feel like Oliver Twist....! ] Susie xXx

Eureka are just ASKING to be 'Olivered'.
It about time they got into gear ans released a bit more than just the episodes,a poor gallery and a weblink.
More outtakes and some deleted scenes, I say. And some interviews.

We are all so quiet! Sulking because we should have our S7 next week and instead it's been delayed? That would be fair enough, actually. Even though I have all but one epsiode of S7 on tape, I still yearn for the DVDs beyond all reason. Looked on 'Play' and apparently the only extras on series 7 is one extra episode, a Christmas special entitled "Surviving Christmas". I've never heard of that... maybe Play got confused and it's the special that was released with S5, so they have no idea and we will have "Get Fit with Brittas" on S7? And maybe I'll win the lottery tomorrow. Although actually, if it is a new episode, I'd die with joy anyway. ETA: And with this post, I'm no longer Colin! What a relief! I want to stay as Potential Management, because it makes me feel like I'm bonding with Gavin. ~is extremely lame~

From what I've read, 'Surviving Christmas' is all to do with team building exercises in the woods somewhere... ...that could be entirely wrong, considering I didn't read it recently

Oh, damn. If that involves a homicidal Father Christmas and Helen trying to kill Carole... that's the one episode I don't have and nothing else. ~sniffles pathetically~

Ooh Play have changed my order from 'per-order' to 'order placed' and the delivery times gone to 'should be dispatched within 24 hours'. Might be here for the weekend then!

Have just watched all of series 7 which I think is far better than series 6, but it is the last! This is the last we will see of the wonderful Tim, but at least we get to see him stripped down to swimming shorts in the first episode.

Just watched the whole thing myself too - it arrived in this morning's post! Very good series I agree, and some more Brittas kissing to enjoy as well!! It also seemed to focus more on the other characters, but not detracting from Brittas either. Very enjoyable. Those macho-man tops were lovely, on all the guys!! Think this series is proof that Chris really does improve with age....or maybe it's just that he always looks incredibly fit, no matter how old or young?? Hmm, very satisfying. Any thoughts??! Susie xXx P.S. He must have loved the show - the amount of women he gets to kiss!!

Haven't got it yet...but I was browsing though some screencaps...
Why does Julie kiss him? lol Seems a bit random.
And when I DO get it; I refuse point blank to watch the train sequence.
(Hehehe. I VERY nearly wrote 'Julia' there. Freudian Slip.)

Heard about the bit you are referring to, but I didn't know how it was mentioned/where it came in the series. So I did watch it, but I honestly can't suspend my disbelief when watching it. It just feels wrong. So I probably won't be watching that bit very much, just stopping the epsiode early I guess! Julie kisses him because she can't think of any other way to keep him out of his office for 15 minutes (which Gavin, Tim etc. need so they can hack into his computer). You don't see much of it but it goes on for quite a while - not quite 15 minutes in real time unfortunately - and what's great is how he looks afterwards. The hair all dishevelled and such....very nice! It's really sweet in 'surviving christmas' how Helen actually gets incredibly jealous and it's just nice seeing her appreciating what she's got, which she doesn't do enough. She seems to have definetely grown to love Gordon more each series. Remember her reaction to the news that he had 'died' at the beginning of series 2? Then compare that with his 'actual' death at the end of series 5, there's such a difference. This series, it seems to me anyway, she seems much more on his side and to care more about him. A great series, with the only disapointment (as far as i'm concerned) being the very end of the final episode. Not sure if it's because they are 'new' to me, but the episodes seem to be more jam-packed than in some series - and I mean that in a good way. Like the way many RD episodes manage to cram in so much story and character insights into such a short time frame. I do wonder though if the writers on TBE are just huge Chris fans!! I know they change over the series' but perhaps that was part of the selection process, "Do you love Mr Barrie?" / " Yes, but i've never written for a tv show before" / "Never mind, you'll learn...you're hired" Seriously, what I mean is that they seem to know about his previous tv work, such as some of the 'stolen' jokes from RD and even the cigarette case saving his life - which i'm sure they copied off 'Blackadder' (which, of course, Chris was in)...plus they give him fantastic stories, lots of women to kiss, and the opportunity to wear shorts and show off those legs!!!! Must be Barrie fans. Susie X

The ending to series 7 (I've said this may times before and I'm damn sure I'm going to say it again!!): DID NOT HAPPEN!!!I refuse to acknowlege it!!! Too damn right! What really happened was that after the Centre exploded *again*, it was all rebuilt... again. Carole stayed with the Brittases while waiting for a new reception area to move into, and gave Gordon a chance to wreak his evil influence bond with his children. Randomly answering all over the thread although *my* DVDs haven't arrived yet... I'm never sure if S7 is brilliant or if it's just a reaction of enermous relief that it isn't S6, but it has a couple of my all-time favourite episodes in it... RIPGF, of course, and http://etc, and, um, the one with the tv tabloid journalism. I liked Julie kissing Gordon. ~grin~ Very much like her, as was his reaction - he's quite modest in some ways, after all! - and Tim's amusement is cute. I wonder that he didn't see a pattern when he says "So that's why you're all so affectionate all of a sudden." Julie kisses, Carole clings, Gavin *begs* him to go out for a drink - stammering. Heck, I never finished the fic about when they finally do go out for that drink, either. Nice to see that Gordon got back all the decency he lost in S6, too.

Meh. No - Laura came back, with luggage and sans wedding ring, then he takes her away into the sunset...
....Awh....
