Meh. No - Laura came back, with luggage and sans wedding ring, then he takes her away into the sunset... ....Awh.... I suppose I could allow that... if Carole and Helen are left alone in the house to bond and Helen find out her promiscuity had its basis in not being happy with men in the first place. ~evil grin~ Who gets the children, by the way? And as a vaguely related aside... Does anyone actually like Michael? Laura going back to him makes me spit chips.

It does the same to me.
That man is.... there are no words to describe how much I'm not fond of him.

The only time I like Micheal isn't really cos of him at all...it's when he pays for the trampoline and Brittas gets really angry - it's just a scene I find funny. I like Michaels ability to annoy Brittas and make him go all protective over Laura etc...am I making any sense? And the entire sponge-throwing prequel to that. So what I'm saying is...everything I like about him is what he makes other people do clear, much? Elf xx

Looking at "The Lies Have It" as an isolated episode, yes, I do. What he does for Helen is nice and the way he tries to cheer Carol up too. Otherwise, of course, the man's an arse.

You're right, he's very sweet to Helen -- the job must have meant a lot to him to put up with the questionairre and everything, but he sacrifices it at one pleading look from Helen. Everyone seems incredibly understanding and kind when it comes to Helen, really, which is kind of odd considering. Maybe they just feel that Gordon's wife needs all the help she can get. As for Carole, he promises to sort things out for her, but never actually does anything.
But ugh, even in that episode, his reaction to finding out Laura is pregnant makes me want to throw sharpened table tennis bats at him.
