So, I want to fandom-pimp TBE to a friend. I don't want to start with the first epsiode, as it took a while to gather steam - I want something to cause instant addiction.
What should I force her to watch when I sit her down in front of the TV?

Something from series 3 or 4, maybe? Late enough that all the characters, not just Brittas, have started to come into their own but early enough that you don't really have to be familiar with them or what's happened before - unlike a lot series 5, for example.
What about Two Little Boys or The Trial? They both have typical Brittas-caused chaotic disasters whilst featuring plenty of the other characters.
Or Playing With Fire, purely because it's lovely...
Darn, I've got the urge to watch all these episodes now and I really should be working...

The Trial might work beautifully. Such chaos, and introducing all the characters separately. I'm prejudiced against Two Little Boys because I don't like Horatio much... What about Not a Good Day?
Playing With Fire I love beyond reason, obviously enough, but I'm not sure if it would be so lovely if you hadn't a good grasp of Tim/Gavin first...
And oh, Amy, I love your avatar. <3

The Trial might work beautifully. Such chaos, and introducing all the characters separately. I'm prejudiced against Two Little Boys because I don't like Horatio much... What about Not a Good Day? Oh, how can you not like Horatio? He's so adorable! I always liked Two Little Boys a lot partly because of Horatio and partly because I love the scenes where Horatio and Brittas describe their dream followed Horatio asking if it's not all a bit silly and Brittas coming back with a very matter-of-fact "No." It just so very Brittas! Added to the fact that you've got a big Brittas-caused explosion and a whole bunch of people from another leisure centre turning up specifically to mock him, it just sums up the whole of Brittas in one episode. Come to think of it, Not a Good Day does do much the same thing... and I do love it when the little girl gives him flowers right at the end. I like how every once in a while Brittas' silly schemes and pedantic nature did somehow actually benefit people... And oh, Amy, I love your avatar. <3 Thank you! ;D

Awww, how can you dislike little Horatio... Easily, I guess. Bless them. The whole, "Yeaaash... Naaoowww.." scene in Two Little Boys is still my favourite...
And yes, Amy, I also am a fan of you avatar. May I make out with it?
