I think this topic sort of wandered waaay off track - much like my mind when you think of Chris ive noticed..
Ive always preferred Rimmer to Brittas but think Brittas is the cleverer show, in the way that its written as it deals with more "real" issues. RD is just one moment of me falling off my chair in laughter to me falling on the floor in laughter.

Rimmer or Brittas, eh? Well... I've always regarded Rimmer and Brittas as very similar. Brittas is, I believe, what Rimmer would be like if he had had a happy childhood and gone into sport instead of the Space Corps.
...
But I'm going to have to go with Brittas on this one. He's less bitter, and charmingly devoted to what he does, no matter how poorly he does it. (What? "Brittas" and "charming" in the same sentence? Ludicrous!)
