I was talking to a friend the other day, and she's good at recognising actors... she says she was watching 'something' that had Harriett Thorpe in it, that was a really... 'different' role/show for her to be in. We checked imdb and there was nothing on the list that rang any bells. But I also noticed that her appearance in Red Dwarf isn't on her list either... so, what else is missing from the list? Any ideas?

... wasn't she? *now unsure*. I was sure she was in the one where they come in contact with a hologramatic ship and Rimmer tries to join it... she was the woman he loved...

... probably. I don't know! yes I'm thinking of her now again hmn and it probably wasn't her that was that character. But I'm sure she was in an episode of Red Dwarf... Was she someone else in that episode, like, that o ther woman who was just talking to him and that?

harriett was in an episode of the comic strip presents, i saw her in that before but didnt realise who she was or what it was till i bought the comic strip presents dvds, could be that that you friend saw her in

This is a bit off topic, but I didn't know where else to put it! Does anyone remember the tv show 'Desmond's' It was set in a barber shop in Peckham - shown in the earl 90s, I think. There was a character in it called Mandy, and she's always reminded me of Harriet Thorpe quite strongly. I looked on the credits today and saw the actress is Matilda Thorpe. Someone might have asked this already - but are they related? They seem so similar I can't believe they're not...but it could be a huge coincidence. I wouldn't be surprised if they were mistaken for each other though, by people who aren't massive fans of either of them.

EDIT: Okay, I'm a div - IMDB lists her as Harriet's sister! But anyway, they might be mistaken for each other, possibly.
