*applauds new members* You've injected some life into the place ;D Yeah I did need to make a separate topic to say this, it's been a while since I made a topic that wasn't alcohol fuelled.

um, i'm GMT + 9.5 hours i think. I know how i made that mistake now, i was looking at the time you posted, forum time, and then the time you said it was. I thought that i'd changed the forum time to be Adelaide time when I log in.

British Summer Time. in the spring we put the clocks forward an hour to make the best use of the daylight. in the autumn we put them back an hour to GMT to make the best use of daylight. This means that we 'loose' an hour in the spring and Sunday morning comes round too soon, and we 'gain' an hour in the Autumn so we get a lie in on the Sunday. This year BST ends on the last weekend of October, around the time my first child is due! although the official due date is later that week, if it's overnight during the weekend the time of birth may need calculating!

oh. we call thet Daylight Savings.
In the first week of October we put the clocks back and hour for summer (our summer is at the end of the year) and thet go forward again in march.

Yep, so do we. British Summer Time is Daylight Saving. All diaries, calendars etc refer to the official title of BST. Not be confused with BSE which is something different.
