Not sure if this is the right place, but for those who haven't seen my LJ - my daughter will be a big sister in December. We're hoping her sibling will arrive early or on time as being late would make her / him miss Christmas!

9 months. Teeth not quite through. Wriggling, but not quite crawling. Vocalising well, but no real words yet.

Had second (20 week) scan today for second baby. Everything is looking OK. We were able to get all the readings needed in one go. Just got got for growth check ones in weeks 28 and 32 now. At least I'm halfway there!

No. We didn't ask. Amelia needed three scans at this time to get all the info they needed. She was just too sleepy and lying in the wrong position. Nick spent his time looking at the screen and got good at reading it. We didn't ask then, but no male genitalia was spotted by Nick so we had a pretty good idea. This time, Amelia was unsettled so Nick was looking after her. Also as the baby was moving a bit, we didn't spend as much time getting scanned so we don't know.
Anyway, at least it's a baby and not a pie!

lol not a pie... Weird question, but do you call it anything? Like, lots of people i know online, on baby naming forums (i'm on there for talking about character names) nickname the baby, before they know the gender and have come up with a name, or if they have a girl name and a boy name picked out. One of my mum's friends called their unborn son 'tortellini' because of an inside joke...

At the moment s/he's being called number two. Amelia's now sometimes being referred to as number one. Just the order of birth. My dad will still call me number one daughter and my younger sister as number two daughter, so I probably picked up on that.

When talking about it with Amelia (not that she really understands) we just say you little sibling.

No more news as yet. I have less than a week to go and no real signs of number two making an appearance. Although I'm very achey in places, I'm not fed up with being pregnant. Some women get like that in the last month. I'm just really glad that it's gone to term!
