Forgive me if I am wrong about this, I don't know.
Is there an episode where Tim and Gavin get infected with an illness or at least it's thought that they are infected. A quick search on the internet makes me think that if there is one then it might be Brussells Calling in series 5 with the outbreak of wiles disease in the pool?
Having seen these episodes when I was a lot younger means that I don't remember all of the ones I saw and parts of the ones that I vaguely remember have become intertwined in my mind. I thought originally that if that did happen it might have been in Exposed but obviously now I've seen it I realise it isn't.
Plus, it might not have even been Tim and Gavin, I used to get confused with the characters back then.
All I remember was two guys standing there with blankets around them and that there was an outbreak in the pool or something and I think it was Tim and Gavin (possibly others as well), because I'm sure they were male staff members and I'm pretty sure they weren't Colin or Gordon. (Gordon, Colin and Carol were the three I always remembered best.)
So do I remember rightly or is my mind playing tricks on me?

There is an outbreak of a disease (can't remember it's name) when Colin lets a rat swim in the pool, but the outbreak is confined to customers (who are rounded up into the squash courts). It's only Brett, the annoying stand in for Colin who's affected amongst the staff (the one who fancies Gavin), as far as I can remember. It's not one I've watched much, because it really irritates me that Gavin strokes Brett's hair!

Yeah, I don't think that was the episode I was thinking of though.
Could I possibly be thinking of the series 6 episode a walk on the wildside where Colin causes an anthrax and foot and mouth outbreak?

I love Colin heating the pool by strapping a small electric heater directly above it ....
I mainly love that ep because watching Chris Barrie jump into a pool is always good TV... if only there were a Mr Darcy-esqe scene afterwards .....

Well, I bought series 5 and 6 when I was on holiday recently and I've just finished watching the second disc of series 6 so I've now seen the whole of both series including Brussels Calling and A Walk On The Wildside so I am now forced to admit that I was wrong as the bit I was referring to is not in any of them.
That's weird, I could swear that I did remember a scene like the one I was talking about and I could swear it was The Brittas Empire. I could possibly be thinking of another comedy program but I'm almost certain I'm not.
But unless it happened in series 1, 2 or 4 (and I don't think it did because although I still haven't seen many episodes from any of those series, I have looked at episode descriptions for them and can't find any reference to what I might be thinking of), then it seems that my memory is playing tricks on me.
Maybe it was a dream, lol. But if so then it's a strangely vivid and well remembered dream. It would have been many years ago that I dreamt it. Weird.
I know it's stupid but this is going to really irritate me now, lol ;D
And on another note I think both series 5 and 6 are very funny ;D ;D Also you know it's been a good holiday when you come back with a couple more series of Brittas ;D

No, I think the episode you're thinking about is "Exposed" from Series 7, like sev29 said (the one with the male model stand-in for Colin). Of course, I could be wrong.
I do agree though about the thought of more Brittas to watch! ;D

Or maybe, at a pinch, the one with the bungee jumping - Tim has a towel around his shoulders in that? Just a thought.
The only thing I can really remember from the very first time round is thinking that Tim's shoes looked far too clean underneath, which looking back I assume is from GF RIP when he's on the couch with Helen. Strange what sticks in your head from childhood......
