Anyone know if there are any plans to release these two series on DVD in the near future? That would be fab, especially if there were extras!!! Maybe I should check out the Discovery Channel's website? Not sure if they'd have any information though. While on the subject, any favourite moments from either series? Know it's hard to say, but a couple I would put ahead (at the moment) are: The dog moment (see other post) Boxer shorts (ibid.) Fishing for 'Nemo' and the other one (name totally escaping me) at the beginning of 'Cranes' Learning to ride the police motorcycle Crashing the model hovercraft into the camera (after making fun of the director's aim!) Nice calves on show as he climbs down the ladder of the banana crane (the really old one) Ooh, i've been watching them quite a bit lately it seems! Susie xXx

I'd love them to release them on DVD, although I can't really see it happening I'd love to be proved wrong though. I haven't even seen ONE episode of Massive Machines yet. That's what happens when you share your TV with a very stubborn mother.

Won't she even let you tape it while she watches something else? If so, that's harsh. Maybe you can sweeten her up! Good luck in your quest! Susie X

While on the subject, any favourite moments from either series? Know it's hard to say, but a couple I would put ahead (at the moment) are: My favourite bits are: Him digging and then falling over in Diggers. "But you can always dig a bigger hole!""Am I getting too close to you?"The rhubarb crumble speech. “…hello… hello….oh yes! Thank you, and goodnight doctor!”His German. King Hole. (All from Diggers, as you can see, my favourite!) Also: In Bikes, when he was being coached by the Sergeant... Priceless expression, doing so well... and then he falls off. "To catch the naughty people!"Ah, the amusment. I want to see 'Machines too, I never got around to seeing any of it. *Crosses fingers for DVD release* Checked his official site? They might annouce it on there... Just another thing to add to my Chris Barrie Collection... 14 DVD's and one video... That's pathetic

Good ones Totoffle!! Yeah, diggers is a good'un. There are some lovely quotes...i wonder how much on the shows was scripted and how much them just going, "Ok, Chris, you know all about these things - talk!", and letting him just say what he wants?! It seems very natural and unscripted, but then Chris is a genius, so... Just incase anyone out there doesn't know, "Massive Machines" is currently on Channel 5 every Monday night at 8 PM. Ooh, for those of you who haven't seen 'machines' yet, there are many instances of short wearing and wet suit donning...marvellous indeed!!

I hope this does come out on DVD... It was shown on cable in Australia but I didn't have the channel it was on, so... yes, I would love to see the shows, LOL!

Not wishing my first ever post to be about something tending towards dodgeness but... There may be a bittorrent floating around the internet with which you can download some of the episodes to watch (untill the DVD's obviously)!

Well the title gives it away a wee bit, but from what I can gather (really hating the Uni-lack-of-TV thing) they feature a type of machine each week and chris yaks about why its fab! I think his website has more info.
