How do you mean? The show itself?
Basically he just looks at "massive" engines and "massive" machines. EG. in Massive Engines he looks at:
Diggers Racing Cars Rockets Bikes Airliners Pumps Ships Trucks Airships Locomotives
In the "Machines" version he looks at, well, machines, heh! Like farming machines, all that kind of stuff.

I thought it might be boring at first cos machines dont exactly thrill me but i was looking at a commentary of him on the program and all he does is make little comments, mostly to himself, which remind me of Rimmer muttering away, then plays with models in the trains episodes. Its actually a lot more amusing than u think. Theres even a clip where hes trying to speak and falls butt first in the mud
