It took all my courage to go up to him! I was crewing at that event and he was there for two days (that picture was taken on the second when I had the morning off). I remeber on the first day looking down on the hall from my vantage point on the que numbers board and seeing him and the others and thinking "Oh my! I'm in the same room as Chris Barrie!"
I kept going on little walks (with the excuse that I was going for updates) so I could go past him and make sure it was all real.
I think the oddest moment had to be in the hotel in the evening. I was sitting talking to some friends and suddenly noticed that I he was sitting on a sofa not too far from us and my friend said "Are you ok, you look like you've just seen a ghost!". I said "No, it's just that the person I've wanted to meet for that last 10 years+ is sitting right over there!" she said I should have gone and talked to him but I couldn't and I thought it wasn't really the right time (well I used that as an excuse anyway!) I always laugh when I think, Oh I spent the night under the same roof as Chris Barrie!!! (Daft I know but hey? It makes me smile!)

I'm sure you'll be able to meet him one day!!! I'm grinning just remembering it all...  I remember when I saw Massive engines for the first time and he was wearing that red polo neck. I said to mum "I think he likes that top. He was wearing it on the saturday at LFaCC!" |

It does rather, it suits him! I always used to wear mine with my leather coat and a pair of jeans (but after seeing Chris I don't think I will anymore, I'll only feel wierd!!)

I love his jackets! The gorgeous ones he wore during M.E! Oh gosh, so nice!
I may now have to buy a red polo neck. I won't wear it, they annoy me, but just to say, "Chris Barrie has one of those."... Just to annoy absolutley every single family member and friend I have.

LOL. Coincidently my favourite boots are the same boots that they wear with the canary outfits in RD. I didn't notice untill the other day and I've been driving everyone batty mentioning it!
That's the same one he's wearing in the pic with me!!! (I think, it was a nice leather one!)
It's quite anoying actually, that was one of my favourite outfits for going out in!!

Yeah I know. I can still get away with it if I was going out with friends they wouldn't make the connection (I would just feel self concious!) but I couldn't go anywhere with mum wearing it because I can guarantee that she would say something like "You know you look like Chris Barrie wearing that don't you?"  Actually I'll let you all into a little secret I'm making one of thoes at the moment for an event next year, (I've got my quarentine gear for this year!!) |

I never thought it would be a bad thing to look like him, but now I think about it, I can see how it would. But, at least if you're compared to him... it's not as if you're being compared to someone... who's... Oh, do shut up Emma.
