Russell has a gorgeously deep (sexy..) voice, but does anyone else find it extra cute how it almost sounds like it's breaking in series 1? Just at random times it goes all squeaky and high..

That actually continues into other series as well. Like the one where the guy is trying to kill Mr Brittas, and he just goes "C'mon!" and his voice sort of breaks in that bit too.
I'm not quite sure what's up with it, I don't think it's supposed to be 'my voice is breaking'.
Obviously some of it is hysteria. Like "GAVIN!!!" when he gets harpooned.

Yeah I think think that was at the end of series 1, although it's been a while since I saw the earlier series so I may be wrong, but that's the one that stuck in my mind, it just seems to crack for no reason sometimes.

I'm sure it cracked in later series sometimes, but it WAS mainly in the first one wasn't it... hmn.

I can't say I noticed it much in the later series... the main one that sticks out is when Gavin got shot with the spear and he was all hysterical shouting "GAVIN?!?" (as mentioned before).
