Wooo! I just been watching the first series and I loved it. Theres some great quotes but I can't remember them off the top of my head. I love the episode where Colin shoots gavin with that spear thing... Tim gets hysterical lol. I love when Angie says 'Why can't she have a door, Gavins got one' and Brittas goes 'Yes well Gavins nailed to that one' (Something to that affect). Oh and I've read about Brittas calling Tim a left footer and I saw that one today and so funny... Gavin gets so wound up. And haha I couldnt stop laughing when Brittas accused Tim of stealing the fiver and he said something like 'Theres a difference in what you say you were doing and what Gavin says you movements were' and Tim says 'What do you mean?'... Tims face was sooooooo funny! I love the tim hysteria when Gavin got shot... and threatening Brittas with a screwdriver! you can really feel/see his fear though. but sign of really good acting. and that 'differences in time' thing, i am fully convinced that tim and gavin lied about their times, because they weren't quite doing their work, if you catch my drift...

I think it also has to do with the soap on a rope. *cough* Judging by their body language when he was going on about it. My ... understanding, of it, is that okay, Gavin had to report it missing for brittas to know about it, right? But i doubt he'd really care if it went missing. Unless they... needed it. But, as their reactions seem to say that it's... not the usual use for soap that they wanted it for... if you catch my drift... then why would they have 'reported' it. Which implies that it was more a case of Gavin looking for it... and Brittas asking him what he was looking for, then Brittas going completely over the top about a 'stolen item' which probably was just misplaced or something, hence their embarrassment because everyone else would have figured it out as well. It took me ages to figure that out. I just noticed Gavin saying 'He can't do that! I mean, people come in here to get changed and- ... all sorts of things...' and Tim's reaction to the mistiming... and figured that tim and gavin were... not working at work. but the soap thing was probably a few days before or something. And I noticed how Brittas said 'soap on a rope' and Tim and Gavin sort of squirmed and the audience laughed, and I knew it had to be an innuendo, not just a stupid thing to have been 'stolen'. Took me ages to figure out exactly what the innuendo was though lol.

Ahh I wonder why Tim and Gavin squirmed and people looked at them... and I was thinking, Soap on a rope... why would anyone report a missing soap on a rope lol. but yeah the 'movements' thing and the 'all sorts of stuff' got me suspicious lol.

yeah, i don't think they really did 'report' it, i think somehow Gordon overheard/saw Gavin looking for it, and then forced him to file a report. So yeah, i was all '... why the squirming? oh. OH! igetitnow!' And yep, it took me a little while to figure out lol. It was bothering me for ages. And how the audience was laughing at 'soap on a rope'. I mean i was like 'they could be laughing because that's just a really stupid thing... but it sounds like an innuendo...' I then was talking about it with someone else, trying to figure it out and they were like 'what else can you use soap for. get it?' I get the feeling that Tim and Gavin 'don't do their work' quite a lot.

it has nothing to do with the 'rope' part. That's just because it's funny sounding, which is true. Soap on a rope is like, soap attached to a rope, so you can hang the soap up in the shower. Okay, i'll spell it out for you a little more graphically. Tim and Gavin are ... getting up to ... things... in the shower. Stuff that is definitely not working, and definitely not what they're supposed to be doing at work. Now, what can they use soap for (though it's apparently certainly not optimal...)? It's slippery... Now, i might be totally wrong, but there was *definitely* innuendo in with that 'soap' part in the show, and their embarrassed reactions to it, which shows that i highly doubt that Gavin just needed soap to wash himself with in the shower. They might be embarrassed about Gordon making a fuss about soap, but that's not the sort of embarrassment they're showing. And then with Gavin implying that 'people come in here to get *changed* and... all sorts of things...' and Tim's reaction to the timing not matching up, with his '... what do you mean? *squirm*' ... it definitely implies that the two of them get up to stuff at work. And not just once. So it implies that the soap would also be about that.

As I understand it, soap-on-a-rope isn't actually something you use in the shower...unless you're showering in a prison. You hang it up with your clothes to keep them smelling fresh.
I always took it to be that soap-on-a-rope is a ridiculous thing to be worried about. As well as a ridiculous idea.

^ that too. It is just ridiculous for Brittas to be worried about that. But I also doubt that Gavin would have bothered to report it missing... and there's definitely innuendo in that bit too.
