Surely I'm not the only one running Brittas plots in the Sims...
My own Sims2 lot are going well, although I'm slightly ashamed of myself for making a tiny airless windowless cupboard room just big enough for Ben's crib. Gordon set fire to the kitchen on the first day of his life and caused the painful death of a visiting townie, and by the third day Helen was having an affair with the nice fireman who turned up to put out the blaze. Now she's working on the male maid... Tim and Gavin are doing exactly what's expected of them, although soon I shall move Gavin out of his shorts and into a tie and have him focus on his career, so we'll see how long their radiant happiness lasts.
Does anyone else play? And have you found any reasonable approximations of the leisure centre uniform for skins? (I'm using denim shorts and green polo tops, the best I could do, but it's not quite right. Gavin needs a blue windbreaker, anyway.) Or decent hair for Carole?

I only have the original SIMS with its menagerie of expansion packs. Have been trying to SIM Whitbury Leisure Centre for some time but have not been satisfied with the layout (also you can only have 2 floors) any tips?

Hmm. Where are you building the gym? As a house, or as a Superstar town location? If you have the expansion pack, that would probably work better... more scope for giant pools and a spa section. If you're trying it as a house, there's just too much to fit in, without being able to have three levels. filezone.simszone.de have a fabulous sauna objects set, that would do well for the sauna/solarium. If you're okay with cracked objects, www.cheapfrills.org has some great objects for a gym, like exercise mats and ballet mirrors for a SlimTrim class, and the all-important trampoline... They have tiles for pushups and things, too. ~sigh~ I'm all nostalgic for the original game and want to reload it, now. Especially since I've had to cheat and reset for the first time in Sims2. Carole died, and her children were taken away by the social worker. ~sniffle~ edited for links

I *have* been doing that with the SIMS2 actually...but only with Brittas and Laura. Haven't got round to anyone else yet!
Are there any skins for it yet?

I *have* been doing that with the SIMS2 actually...but only with Brittas and Laura. Haven't got round to anyone else yet! *grin* That sounds about right, given the temptation to play love stories out in the game. I haven't made Laura, Colin or Julie yet, and I'm not planning on Penny or Angie, but otherwise I have the set... TBE ones? I wish... I'd love proper uniforms, and I have Gavin in a blazer because I can't find a plain white shirt with tie. At least Sims2 encourages you to style their faces exactly yourself - I get out Sharing the Dreamand work from photos, although I don't know if the results are any good. www.simsconnection.com/ has fabulous hairstyles, though, very necessary for Carole's marvellous curls, and every now and then I trawl through the Sims official website looking for new eye colours and things on their downloads. Tim has very pretty and natural looking green eyes, thanks to that. edited to try to fix hyperlink

If you're trying it as a house, there's just too much to fit in, without being able to have three levels. Never occured to me to put it in a Superstar lot, are they the biggest available? I rezoned the biggest of the Old Town lots to make it residential, and then simmed Gordon, Laura, Colin, Linda, Tim, Gavin, Carole and Julie (such a pain only being able to have eight). Have popped them in a dormitory in the back, above the basement levels (which are on the ground floor ). Tim and Gavin have the only double bed. Am just doing it as a test for now. When I have got the layout right I will see about creating all the user objects that I need (which is turning out to be a heck of a lot, will keep me busy for a while). Will make a mental note to get a screen grab of it (once I've stopped demolishing it). Yep, have got all that lot *nods* Also got a staring frame for Brittas' office, can't remember where from offhand. Two Sims sit oposite each other and try to stare each other out They get carisma skill points for it lol. Have you not got enough room to have both of them on? Then you could just switch between them as you like. I really want SIMS 2, but I can't get it just yet because I just can't afford it. I did drop several hints at Christmas but none of them paid off

Never occured to me to put it in a Superstar lot, are they the biggest available? They seem a lot bigger, and no worries about money... They're not residential, although I'm sure there's a cheat somewhere to make them so. ~grin~ Because they ran out of space, obviously. Yay! Nah. Have enough problems since I installed the University expansion pack... It's worth it, if you save. The various modes of showing affection make me squee to death, and it's better for plot-based play... but it doesn't have all the lovely fanciness that comes from the fully expanded first game.
