I'm pretty sure she was never in Red Dwarf. But Jake Abraham, the guy who played Danny in some episodes (the guy with a criminal record) was in an episode of Red Dwarf.

No, Lucy Briers was the one that they brought back as a hologram as an option to replace Rimmer, but she got freaked out by how much curry they have, and asked them if any of them are interested in ponies or ballet, and they're like 'well we don't mind as long as we can have a curry afterwards!' and she said that she'd prefer not to have the job, and they're like 'but then you'll be dead!' and she was like 'even so...'
