For all those fan fic writers out there I have made a character timeline for each major character. Each one can be found on the appropriate character forum. I have also made a episode by episode rundown to help make the timelines to make sense (you can find this on The Brittas Empire section. Just a note of warning though: If you are writing fan fic with the info I gave you I may have spelt the odd character (not the main characters) name incorrectly. I have a few problems with my hearing at the mo and it is possible that I may have heard the odd name wrongly. 
Carol Parkinson
Series 1
Ep1 Carole spends episode distressed and comforted by others as she had a baby 3 weeks ago and her husband has left her. She phones her mother to ask to borrow money as mortgage needs to be paid.
Ep3 Carol is discovered to be keeping baby in drawer (although there’s plenty of evidence in previous episodes that baby is in centre) as her mother is due to have a hip replacement. She confides to Angie that she was dumped by her husband because she refused to have sex on the photocopier whilst she was 8mths pregnant. He went to Spain with her friend. He returns in this episode to see the baby, he is shown the wrong baby by Brittas and Brittas tells him that Carol has told everyone that he is impotent (she didn’t).
Ep5 Carol says her baby is at work as her mother can’t have the child because she had rejected the hip replacement. She speaks about needing womb music for the baby as the baby and she hasn’t had any sleep.
Ep 6 During a tearful telephone conversation with her doctor Carol discovers that she is pregnant again.
Series 2
Ep2 Carol didn’t know who her baby’s father which was conceived at Julies new years party. She went to bed in a tiger costume, someone entered, they roared at each other … Trying to figure out who the father was she phones round a rugby team. In this episode we also discover Carol and her baby living in the resource cupboard.
Ep5 Carol played piano to a top standard impressed the visiting pianist (who didn’t ever work out it was actually Carol who was playing the piano), used to dream to be a concert pianist when younger but her parents made her give it up.
Ep6 Carol is given a purse which she handed into the police months ago, it contains £100. It is at the same time she hears from an old boyfriend who wants her to join him in Australia but she doesn’t have the £1200 air fair. She overhears Gavin and Tim discussing putting money on a horse at 12-1. However, Brittas talks her out of it and encourages her to save it instead. She hands the purse over, which then burns in a fire.
Ep7 Carol is 36 weeks pregnant when Brittas discovers she’s pregnant. She tells Brittas she hadn’t been to see the doc as she hoped it would go away. She gives birth to twins in the sauna with the help of a vet.
Series 3
Ep1 When the centre was visited by drugs barrens Carol went into trances and had visions of danger before they actually happened.
Ep2 When Carol discovers that there is a spider on the loose in the centre her immediate reaction is to leap on a chair as she is frightened of them.
Ep3 Brittas sacked Carol for keeping her children in the reception. Later Laura suggests a better idea and Carol is re-employed as leader of a crèche which is at the reception and she is going to stand in for the new receptionist until she’s appointed,
Series 4
Ep1Helen offers to take Ben to the seaside but he has escaped from his cupboard through the ventilation system. They search for him and once he’s found Carol locks him back in the cupboard.
Ep3 Carol lost her cat Biggles, Brittas finds it blocking up the boiler. In denying the cat is hers she has to eat cat food.
Ep4 Carol visited a stage hypnotist the previous night and ribbits at the end of each sentence until hypnotist puts a stop to hers and other staffs behaviour.
Ep6Carol advertised in the paper for a date for a dance. An old boyfriend reply’s and she waits for his arrival. He gets stuck in a room with the suggestion box stuck to his arm. By the time he makes it through the ventilation system to the reception with an engagement ring Carol has gone.
Ep7Counsillor Druggit sacked Carol after she asked him if he could have more cupboard space for her children.
Series 5
Ep2 Carol spends the episode handcuffing people to chairs in the reception in an attempt to keep them in the reception so they can fill out Brittas’ questionnaires. Tim explains to Carole that she should make up the answers as that is what everyone else has done.
Ep4 It is Carol’s birthday the day before. The only card she received was from her son. Then she had to pretend she had a party to cover up for Helen.
Ep5 Carol’s new boyfriend appears to take her out to lunch. Before they go he offers her a new home. He waits for her as she finishes her work and accidentally has a hub cap dropped on her head killing him. Needless to say Carol is rather upset.
Ep6 Brittas tells a stunned Carol that she is pregnant. They think that Colin is the father as she stayed at his house over the Easter break. There were toxic fumes which rendered them unconscious and so they couldn’t account for the next few days. It turns out Carol isn’t pregnant so they don’t have to marry.
Ep7 Mr Vonn Trapp from social services comes to take Carols babies into care. She locks herself and the children into the cupboard. Mr Vonn Trapp hears the family singing and wants to employ Carol as a music teacher to his children.
Ep8 Carol comes back to the centre to say goodbye to Brittas before she takes up her job in Austria. She shows Laura the enormous cupboard which she kept her children in. She gets stuck in her son’s toy car. Brittas pushes Carol out of the way from a falling tank saving her life but killing him.
1994 Christmas Special
We meet Dame Carol Parkinson an award winning pianist playing at Carnegie Hall, New York. Her twins are at Cambridge with Laura’s son Barney. Ben is working for the navy in submarines.
Series 6
Ep1 Carol returns to work after Mr Vonn Trapp decided to marry a nun. She gets very tearful each time anything about Austria or the sound of music is mentioned.
Ep2 Carol holds a fancy dress birthday party for Ben. Colin sees the children in their costumes and thinks that they are aliens.
Ep3 Carol meets someone who looks identical to Brittas. He flirts with her and tells her she is musical so she takes up learning the trombone and the violin which she very quickly learns to play well.
Ep8 Carol talks an entertainer around to allow her son join in with a children’s pirate party. The entertainer complains that Ben had tantrums until he won all the prizes and ate all the party bags. Carol punches the entertainer.
Series 7
Ep1 Carol has been sent on assertiveness course and comes back very assertive. She controls the situation when Julie ends up giving birth in the basement at night.
Ep4 Encouraged by Brittas Carol found ‘the lion within’ and asked Brittas for the deputy manager’s job. He laughed at her a first then she talked her way into the job. She then swapped the rule books over tricking Brittas, she became the new manager. Her management style was very unpopular with the staff and they went on strike. She then asked Brittas to come back telling him she’d tricked him.
Ep5 Carol’s learning several languages in the hope of winning employee of the month award.
Ep8 Carol discovers that Brittas is her children’s father after looking at photographs and realising their family resemblance.
1996 Christmas Special
Helen spends the trip trying to attack Carol as she suspects she is having an affair with Brittas.
