Oh, and I don't actually think it's the NUMBER of members that's a problem, we have 70... But it's the fact that people join and don't come back. I've done it many times and I'm sure you have too. That's where the problem lies.

I'm not too sure what it is to be honest, interesting conversations and interesting members seem to be factors, but I've been addicted to boards for no reason before (I've got over 12,000 posts on one board I frequent)

Just be careful not to make it look too much like spam so it will not get filtered out.

I had another idea... a new forum section, for 'Fan Works'. Where we can talk about fanfictions, avatars, fan videos, etc. Both 'here's some i made' and questions about how to make them, or asking for writing help, or even competitions or challenges or something. Move all the fanfiction threads into there, along with any others you think would fit. Keep it going as a living fandom.

Another idea. (and, I really hope that some of these ideas, not necessarily mine, can be considered and implemented. It'd be a shame for this forum to totally die)

Can we have a "Related Media" (to be renamed lol that's a horrible name for it) forum, where we can talk about things like Red Dwarf or Tombraider, or whatever?

And, a "Tv/Movies" section, where we can talk about other shows and movies we like?

Ok, I know the last reply on this thread was nearly three years ago but I'm going to reply anyway, lol.

There are some good ideas in this thread and I especially like Inkling's one about having a TV/Movie section. I know we can post about that stuff in the general board, but maybe having a specific section for it, would be good as well, if nothing else so that people can navigate their way around the forum easier.

You see, one of the biggest turn offs of a forum for me is if I am a fan of the program but I don't really know it very well, so I don't feel that I can post about it very much and there doesn't really seem to be a place to talk about other unrelated stuff.

However, I would like to say that I have not had that problem with this forum. I know that I can post about other stuff and I know where to go to post it and that if I do people will reply.

Also, I have found everyone on this forum to be so welcoming and friendly that although I still have not seen many episodes of Brittas, I do feel that I can make posts about the show and the characters, even if I don't know much about the topic.

But I still think that a TV/Movie section and other similar types of specific sections, unrelated to Brittas might be a good idea.

Maybe a games section!! Where people can start various word games and other games like that, you know what I mean. They could be both Brittas and non-Brittas related.

How about hangman!! They do that on another forum I'm a member of and it seems to work quite well.

I'm sure that would get more people involved.

Also, I like the idea about the fan works section and I was thinking, how about a place as well for people to post fanfiction (or links to fanfiction) that they've wrote for other shows as well?
