Seeing as we all saw this show so young, i'm interested to know how much of it went over your head when you were in your early teens. I'm just on this other forum where we're discussing Maid Marian and Her Merry Men, and we're listing all the innuendoes in a 'childrens' program that we would never have seen before. (the show was designed for early teenagers, but lots of younger kids watched it too, and they put in MASSES of stuff for the adults watching) So i was wondering what you recently noticed, if anything, that you hadn't noticed when you first watched it. A joke, an innuendo, whatever. And when you first watched it, how long did it take you to realise that Tim and Gavin were a couple? I was 13 or 14, the second that Tim said "I thought you said you were at your mother's!" I realised. I must be more worldly than lots of kids, because i was showing it to some friends a while back and they were still saying 'hang on, are they a couple??' in the second or third episode!!

Not sure when it first struck me. I know it's made clear in a very subtle way in the very first episode. I didn't see that episode at the time as I remember nothing about it from watching it later as I remember bits from later episodes in S1 such as Helen wanting stronger pills from the Doctor and him not giving them until he met Brittas, and Helen going to see Uncle Simon.
I also found it funny that the best looking guys on it were a couple and Brittas didn't notice!
