For all those fan fic writers out there I have made a character timeline for each major character. Each one can be found on the appropriate character forum. I have also made a episode by episode rundown to help make the timelines to make sense (you can find this on The Brittas Empire section. Just a note of warning though: If you are writing fan fic with the info I gave you I may have spelt the odd character (not the main characters) name incorrectly. I have a few problems with my hearing at the mo and it is possible that I may have heard the odd name wrongly. 
Gavin Featherly
Series 1
Ep 1 Tim asks Brittas if he and Gavin could work the same hours.
Ep 2 Brittas spots Gavin in pub with another man and announces it in front of Tim who gets rather upset.
Ep 4 Colin manages to shoot Gavin in the shoulder with some sort of harpoon; he is carried out of the centre to an ambulance attached to a door.
Ep 6 Brittas asked Gavin to keep an eye on Tim because he thinks Tim could be ‘a bit’ gay.
Series 2
Gavin is in this series but isn’t really central to any of the main storylines.
Series 3
Ep3 Whilst Laura is at a job interview and all havoc is in the centre it is Gavin that the staff ask to speak to Brittas to tell him that they disapprove of Brittas’ treatment of a concussed Colin. (Colin electrocuted everyone in the swimming pool so Brittas told him to copy out the safety manual)
Series 4
Ep2 Whilst on the search for the missing Brittas twins Gavin returns to the centre with Tim carrying duvets as they had a sale on in Debenhams.
Ep3 Helen and Laura ask Gavin to dispose of a lad’s mag containing a photo of Helen. Brittas and Tim catch him with the magazine and he lies to cover up for Helen much to Tim’s disgust.
Ep5 Gavin’s fiancé turns up. They haven’t seen each other for 5 years but he had written to her. She has escaped from a private clinic in Scotland. Gavin is too scared to tell her he’s with Tim as he doesn’t want to make her ill again. Tim is upset, everyone else shocked. By the end of the episode Gavin tells Brittas that it wouldn’t be right to marry her and he drives off with Tim.
Series 5
Ep2 Gavin makes cakes in for a children’s birthday party in a rat infested centre.
Ep4 Brittas announces that Gavin has been on a management course on Monday evenings. Gavin did not tell Tim this and Tim was upset, they argue and end up fighting in the staff room.
Ep5 Brittas tells staff that Gavin has “completed his management course; passed a customer care exam; got a distinction in the history of sport and leisure part two” and so he was now on a trial period of 14 days as the new trainee acting assistant manager. Gavin has to run the centre for the day with Brittas looking over his shoulder, creating major disasters to see how Gavin reacts. He deals with major chemical spillages before he realises that Brittas has made the whole thing up to check his reactions. Tim is offended when Gavin asks him to tidy a cupboard although to keep on the right side of both Tim and Brittas Gavin creeps off at the end of the ep to tidy the cupboard himself.
Ep6 Gavin is a bit miffed that he and Laura are both asking people to run reception and people are responding to Laura’s requests more than his. Later as Brittas tries to take Tim’s trousers down to prove that he is a woman Gavin punches Brittas in the nose.
Ep7 Gavin wants to be the new manager and the job is eventually offered to him after Laura turned it down.
Ep8 Gavin is due to take over the centre as manager at midday.
1994 Christmas Special
We meet Gavin in 2019 who is now a Government minister, Seb Coe is the prime minister. Gavin is still with Tim.
Series 6
Ep1Gavin has been running the centre in the absence of Brittas but the minute Brittas appears he tries to continue but Brittas keeps pointing out the things that he is doing wrong. Gavin tries to be very helpful to Penny which makes Tim jealous and he is pushed in the pool.
Ep2 Gavin has to put eye drops into his eyes which makes it difficult for him to see for a while but he is determined to keep on working. Colin sees him acting strangely and thinks that he is some kind of alien.
Ep3 Gavin tired because just come back off holiday with Gavin.
Series 7
Ep1 Gavin is trying to act brave in front of Tim pretending he is ready for a bungee jump, little be known to him Tim is scared also.
Ep3 Gavin and Tim get a young lad to put a virus into the computer system to stop it working properly due to concern over their jobs. When they realise their pay is effected by the virus they try to get the boy to mend it but Brittas catches them in the act.
Ep4 When Carol got the job of deputy manager Gavin had his nose put well out of joint because he had worked for years to get to the same position.
Ep6 Gavin is caught by Brittas copying a tape of Tibetan chimes which was leant to him by Helen who told him he was stressed. Brittas tells him to write to the record company to apologise and when he receives a letter back telling him that they are fining him £10,000 he worries. He goes for a ride on Colin’s potato powered lilo and gets picked up by pirates. His parents come from Fiji where his father is a retired army corporal. When his parents meet Tim they don’t realise that he is Gavin’s partner for ten years. Gavin’s brother and two sisters come to his funeral from around the world: Sally from Tokyo, Alice from Brussels and Peter from Zambia. He is rather surprised to return to Whitbury and find people at his funeral.
1996 Christmas Special
Gavin has a mobile phone with him on their group building trip which Helen uses to order pizza whilst on exercise.
