In "Playing with fire" we learned the "had been some trouble" that Gavin was involved in wherever it is he was (now that is an awful lot of prepositions if ever I saw them)
He was sent away by his family then met Jenny. One can only wonder what this trouble might have been. Any ideas? Remember he was about 18/19 at the time (proposed to Jenny at 19)

From the vague 'trouble at a local gym. There was a court case . . .' it's easy to get too carried away or, as in my case, not be able to come up with anything.

Well, he mentions "a lot of advantages". I'm guessing that translates to "I wouldn't do anything like that, honest! Look at my pretty fiancee!" and was aimed at his parents as much as at the courts.

lol... that's so wrong in so many ways... I h aven't seen that episode for years either. That's actually sort of sad, that he'd stoop to illegal underage guys... aaand totally stuffs up yet another of my fanfictions lol

Fanfic it any way you like, it's only a theory!
My personal theory is that Gavin pretends to be younger than he is, some kid pretends to be older... trouble happens. And I can't believe there's not plenty of casual opportunities at a leisure centre, which might excuse Tim's paranoia a bot.

From what we know of Jenny, only someone in denial would actually get engaged to her. As someone with a huge, huge crush on Jenny, I object. I thought of her as a beard, really, combined with the fact that Gavin obviously likes her quite a lot and she's from a similar background to him. As for resumes... if Gavin got off scot free, it wouldn't be on his records or an issue. Besides, we know Gordon hired at least two people with criminal records and one with an STD.
