I haven't seen many Brittas episodes, at least not that I can remember but theres a Helen quote thats in an episode which we've still got on an old recording video that I find pretty funny.
I'm not sure what the episodes called, its the one where they have that kids birthday party and Colin's the magician. The kid goes missing and Helens talking to the parents.
She says something like "Whenever one of mine goes missing I always think, oh well I've got two more at home"
LOL. ;D ;D

Hello & welcome! Helen is always good when she's talking about her children. There's a similar one to that, when she's lost the twins somewhere in Whitbury on their Christening day, and she says " I feel so awful, because today's just the day you need them." Cracks me up every time. (Just read that back & it doesn't sound funny, but trust me it is!).

It's the delivery of the line that makes it. That's exactly it. You summed up what took me a paragraph to explain in just a few words. Thank you. That's the case with most of my favourite lines - write them down & they're suddenly not funny ("What did you have in mind Mr Brittas?" or the classic "They've got an elephant!").

One of my favourite Helen quotes is in 'Back from the Dead':
Laura: (after finding out Brittas is dead) Its terrible, isn't it... Helen: (thinking she's referring to the coffee) Oh, mine's alright. (Twigging on) Oh I see...
Again I think its with the delivery - that sort of deadpan, dry tone - as if being married to Gordon has completely desensitized her to everything.
And there's another good Helen quote in an episode I just watched - but its slipped my mind, I can't for the life of me remember what it is...
