Hi All, Don't know if you will like this but it is my 2nd attempt at a story about Tim and Gavin, It runs on from the end on Gavin F... RIP
Gavin is sitting on a church yard bench, he is confused and upset, he has just found out that he has interrupted his own funeral! Gavin's father and brother are going mad at Brittas trying to find out why they were burring him, when they did not know for certain he was dead. Gavin's mum sits down beside him, she puts her arms around him and says “I'm so happy you are safe, my love.” crying she asks “What happened?” Gavin is crying as he starts to tell her what happened. “Oh Mum, I hadn't been feeling too good lately, I had been feeling depressed and stressed. Mr Brittas told me, I had to confess when he found me making a copy of a relaxation cassette that Mrs Brittas had lent me, so I did, the record company sent me a letter saying that they were suing me £10,000 for breach of copyright, I did not know what to do. So I decried to go away for good and end my life. I went down to the beach and got on Colin's boat and sailed off, I didn't get far before I realised how much I loved my friends and how much I loved Timmy, I just could not go through with it, so I started to head back to shore.”
Gavin continues “But the boat did not have much fuel and I ended up drifting out to sea, I was taken aboard a larger boat, I didn't know at first, but they were pirates! I just thought I was safe, I phoned Timmy to say I was OK but we got cut off, Then the pirates told me they where taking me hostage, while I was tired up and gagged in the boat's hull, I just thought of Timmy and how much he meant to me. I just sat there unable to move, in the cold and damp thinking of him, wishing he was there with me. After a lot of gun fire the doors busted open, it was Inter-Pole. They had saved me and got me back here. I'm so sorry Mum, for what I have put you, Dad and Timmy through.” Gavin is crying as his Mum replies “So you do love him, them?” Gavin nods his head, “Just that few seconds hearing Tim's voice on the phone was enough to keep me going; I love him so much.” Gavin cries as his mum starts to sob too, when she says “I'm so sorry too, my son, I feel so bad, that I had to lie to him.” Gavin's Mum continues, “I was with your father, you see and you know what he is like! So I told him I never heard of a Tim. I have never told your father what you told me in your letters, I did not want to loose you like we lost Peter after their fight. But I could see how hurt and upset he was, but I was trying to protect your father, I'm so sorry, when you next see Tim, please tell him that I'm sorry.”
As Gavin embraces him mum, he starts to think, 'Where is he?' getting upset he starts to shout and sob “Where is he? If he loved me, he would be here? I hate him! I hate him.” He starts to cry again just as Linda comes over, “I'm so sorry Gavin.” she says, “It's OK.” Gavin replies, “But it is not OK, I only did it on Mr Brittas' orders.” Gavin is confused so he asks “Did what?” Linda tries to explain; “Well Gavin, Tim was going around the the centre, saying you were alive and on a pirate ship and how he was going to tell your parents, we all thought he was going mad, so we tired him up! I'm so sorry Gavin.” Gavin feeling angry “You did what! Where is he?” he shouts “In the staffroom.” Linda cries, “I got to find him! I have got to see he is OK” Gavin tells his mother, “Don't worry my son, I'll come too.”
The three of them rush to the centre and hurry inside to the staffroom, to find Tim still tried to the chair but on his side, in Tim's struggle to escape he has toppled over on the chair and hit his head on one of the benches, he is dazed and there is blood all over the flour, Tim had been bleeding for some while.
Gavin unties Tim and cradles him as Linda phones for an ambulance, Gavin's Mums wraps a towel around Tims cuts to his head, “Gavin, is that you? I'm so sorry.” Tim mummers as he looks up to Gavin, “Are you are OK, Timmy? Mum is here and she wants to say something to you,.” Gavin replies “Hello Tim, I'm so sorry for not reconsigning you, when we met the other day, Gavin had told me all about you in his letters and how much he loves you, its just, well, his father wouldn't understand, being a military man, so I never told him, I hope you understand?” Tim puts his hand out to Gavin's Mum and says “I do, Mrs Faitherly, Thank You.”
Tim is drifting in and out of consonance, “I'm so so sorry Gavin.” he says “for what?” Gavin asks, Tim is crying as he replies “I wrote that letter from the record company. I only wanted to teach you lesson and not to be a slave to Mr Brittas. I'm so, so sorry, will you ever forgive me, I never meant any of this to happen?” Tim passes out just as Gavin kissing his forehead, tells him “Of course I forgive you, you are the love of my life!”
As the ambulance is getting ready to take Tim away to hospital. “Mum!”, Given asks, “Can you talk to Dad for me? Tell him how much I love him and, how sorry I am for letting him down and for putting him through this. I have to see that Timmy is OK. But I will, once Tim is OK, be back to see him.” Gavin's mum can see how much Tim means to her son, she tells him “Go on my son, Tim needs you by his side, I'll explain to Dad.”
We find ourselves back at the centre for what was meant to be Gavin's send off but is now Gavin's return to life. Mr Faitherly has made up with Peter, Gavin's Brother and Gavin's Mum has told them all about Gavin and Tim. Tim has been allowed out of hospital, he has some cuts and bruising and will be fine in a few days, Gavin is so revealed, that he phones Linda and asks her to meet them in the car park as he returns to the centre with Tim.
Tim looks very worried as they return to the centre and when he sees Linda waiting for him he gets scared, 'not again!' he thinks but when Linda comes over and put her arms around him and says “I'm so sorry for not believing in you, Tim. Will you ever forgive me?” Tim nods his head as he starts to cry with relief. Tim clutching Gavin and Linda for support as they start to walk to the centres sports hall. When they get to the hall, Tim tries to let go of Gavin but he holds him fast and says “No Tim, I'll always be with you. We'll enter together!” The hall goes silent as they enter, then the whole room erupts in to applause. Gavin make certain Tim is OK and settled before he goes off to find his Dad.
Gavin walks up to his father. “Hello Dad.” he says as his father turns to him and replies “Hello Gavin, I'm so happy you are OK.” they embrace, “Can I talk to you Dad? Privately?” Gavin asks his father, they walk outside together. But before Gavin has time to speak, his father asks “Before you start, my son, how is Tim?” Gavin is taken back, replies “He is fine, just a little shaken up and very tired and week, he lost a lot of blood.” his father responds “But he will be ok?” Gavin replies “yes, he'll be ok in a few days”Gavin's Dad replies in a revieved sort of way “I'm glad he will be OK, from what your mother tells me, he seems such a loving and friendly person and as I understand from your mother, he loves you dearly. I can never really understand “love” for myself, being a man of the old school but I can respect you for doing what you feel is right. We almost lost you today and I don't want to loose you again! If Tim is your choice to lasting happiness, then I'll respect you for it, my son.” Gavin can't believe his ears, “I love you Dad!” as they continue to talk Gavin tells his father all about Tim and how they met and how much he loves him. “Can I meet Tim?” Gavin's father asks. “If you want to, I'll introduce you to him.” Gavin replies.
Tim is sitting quietly alone, everyone has come up to him and said how sorry they are for not believing him and how he was right. He is gaining his thoughts as he sees Gavin and Gavin's father coming over to him, Tim struggles to his feet and salutes Gavin's father, just like his mother taught him how to do, “Good evening Corneal.” he says, Gavin's father salutes back to him saying “Good evening young sir.” Holding out his hand, as Tim shakes it, Gavin's father can see the pain in Tim's face and says “Please sit down.” Tim sits down, as Gavin's father says “Thank you for that mark of respect, it's so nice to see young people having respect for others and their elders. Gavin has told me all about you and how much he loves you. I don't really understand “Love” myself but I can accept and respect his feelings for you,.” Looking at them both “All I can do is give you both my blessing and welcome you, Tim, to our family.” They all embrace, Gavin's Dad salutes Tim saying “Good evening young sir. We'll all talk again soon.” Tim tries to get to his feet but falls helpless back into his seat. Gavin's father says “Don't worry my friend, you have been through a lot. I'll leave you both to talk.”
Tim looks up to Gavin and he can see Tim has had enough “Come on, Timmy.” he says “lets go home.” Gavin helps Tim to his feet and they start to walk out of the centre, Just as they are about to leave, Brittas finally come up to them and says “Hello Boys.” Gavin is not very happy at Brittas for how he treated Tim, just hearing his voice sends him in a rage, he lashes out, pushing Brittas away as he shouts “Look what you have done to Tim!” Tim falls to the floor “Look what have done, Look at what you have done to the love of my life!” as Brittas falls backwards onto the floor with a tear running down his face, he looks at Tim and says “I'm so sorry Tim, I'm sorry Gavin, I never meant to hurt anyone”. Gavin turns away but Tim struggles over to Brittas and just as Brittas is getting up, he holds out his hand and says “I forgive you Mr Briitas.” Brittas just holds Tim hand so a few seconds, before helping Tim to his feet saying “I'm sorry Tim. You were right and I was wrong, I should have believed you but I didn't. I'm so sorry for hurting you.” Gavin turns back to Brittas realising what he has done, he walks over to Brittas and Tim, he puts his arms around them both saying “I'm sorry Mr Brittas, If Timmy can forgive you then so can I. I'm sorry for pushing you?” Brittas thinks moment as he looks at Tim and Gavin, “That's OK Gavin.” He says, with a smile as he continues “At least I wasn't by the pool, else I could have got wet.” Tim looks at Gavin, they start to chuckle as they remember when Tim was so upset with Gavin that he pushed him in the pool. “Now I think you both better get home to rest, you both have been through a lot the last few days.” Brittas turns to Helen as Tim and Gavin leave, “It so nice to have them back together again. They are such good friends.”
