Yeah they both had twins, I was just wondering if carole's baby called Emily is Brittas the dad

He must be, since the first child was a boy.

Except I thought that when she gave birth to twins it was two boys...

Herein lies the most fantastic continuity problem of Brittas...
When Carole gave birth, she had two boys. By series 4, she had a girl and a boy; Emily and (can't remember). By series 5, it was two girls, Emily and Jessica.
The Amazing Illegitimate Sex-Changing Children of Whitbury.

well at least I know it's not just my imagination that when they were born they were boys.

I like to explain away the magic baby-changing-horror as either...
a) Carole really is a complete and utter head-case. She can't even keep track of the sexes of her children.
b) She never registered her children and likes to change the names around - presumably until she finds the ones that fit her children. Of course, this would mean that she thinks Emily and Jessica are perfectly acceptable names for boys...
c) Harriet Thorpe, being dyslexic, didn't learn her scripts perfectly and ad-libbed quite a bit, most noticeably with the names of Carole's children.
Personally, I'm not sure which I prefer, although I believe the last one to be actually true ;D

But then, Julia St John used the name 'Jessica' and so did Chris Barrie.
Jessica was the mystery child.

This has probably been answered elsewhere (so apologies), but how many kids does Helen have anyway? I'm confused in the first episode as to how many kids are at their house!

Three of her own. One from next door was there. And then she has twins with gordon.

Have you ever seen Helen's kids, not the twins, her three boys on any of the episodes

This sounds confusing. But funny.

hang on... in series 7 (the last episode) helen says they have 3 kids, then gordon corrects her and says they have 4 kids together... i'm confused, i knew she had 3 from a previous marage but then that doesn't add up with the 4 kids they have (as theres the brittas twins too) does that mean helen has 7 kids? or 5? *brain explodes leaving a mess on the floor next to body* maybe we just shouldn't bother thinking about it.. less mess
