I think its series one - I cant remember, but if i recall correctly he thinks he is going to lose his job but doesnt tell his wife and at teh end of the ep she is about to leave him .... she comes back in and he is cleaning the kids shoes and singing with a sweet little look on his face...

Plus the first ep of series 3 I think when everyone thinks he is dead and shes already getting re-married and the look on his face makes me want to cry hhaha

Those and 'The Christening' are easily my favourite episodes I just cant think of the names of them

The episode where she was thinking about leaving him was "An Inspector Calls", I believe.

And the one where they all think Brittas is dead was actually from Series 2 called "Back From The Dead".
