I don't know if anyone else has already done this on here and I hope its ok to say this.
I thought I'd like to mention this cos on another forum I'm on a few of us have done a similar thing and become facebook friends. It's worked pretty well, we seem to get along quite well on the forum and I think we've found it quite nice to get to know the person behind the user name a bit better
And by the way I'm not a stuffed cat ;D There are proper pictures of me on there, it's just I don't seem to be able to get a decent picture of me, I usually look high in photos, lol.
