Julie is how I would be if I were a secretary. Not particuly helpful and catty. Which may be why I'm jobless now

Julie for me too, but then it's a little unfair to Angie as we only saw her for one series and didn't get to see much character development. It would have been interesting to have seen her for at least another series...

She was quite funny at some points...
Like talking about Gavin having a door when Brittas told her and Laura that the pregnant woman couldn't have one. That was funny.

That is one of my favourite ever lines. It's such a beautiful deadpan response. And I love Angie calling Brittas "Head Girl". And her hair.
But I think Julie established more character in one episode than Angie did in a season. Probably not the fault of the actor so much as that the show didn't really need two straight characters, and Laura's personality was more developed than Angie's.
Then they go and make the same mistake in S6. They didn't need two straight characters to replace Laura, they already had Gavin.
Julie had better dress sense, too.

I actually think i would prefer Angie if she'd stuck around. I'm not quite sure why. She just seems more sympathetic... like when Tim was crying, she and Linda convinced him there was nothing to worry about, Mr Brittas makes him totally freak out and he walks out into the foyer thingy and she just hands him a tissue, knowing exactly what would have happened. But Julie has some great lines (like the imaginary fire extinguisher thing) too... But of course she would, because she was there for so much longer.

I like Julie as a character, but I wouldn't hire her as a secretary.
