Anyone know how long Gavin was 'dead' for in GFRIP? I know I should go and dig my dvds out, but...hell, I'm lazy. And I'm not sure it exactly tells us anyway. Many thanks in advance ;D xx Brittas "May be he went for a swim?" Tim "For three days!" I'd guess almost a week, but you never know with sit coms, especially this one - time continuity was never a strong point for any of they writers (orig and new).

That's why I asked the question - figured that between us we could hit a rough figure, and the more eyes and ears the better for picking up just how many continuity errors there were ;D
I'll got for roughly a week - it's only for another ff100 thingy, and I'm sure it FELT a lot longer to Tim, eh?
Thank you!

I'm sure it did too. We don't know how much time was spent from his parents arriving and the funeral taking place.
. . and knowing Helen's 'skill' at therapy, why did he go to her?

^ coz it's a sitcom... I don't know, I think he was just desperate for someone to talk to.

yeah, starting to mention more things to do with the episode lol. I thought it'd be cool if it was Gavin's idea to wear those lycra stockings... and like, they both are just all 'meh, it's normal' about it. Since it is the early 90s after all. I'm not totally happy with the chapter though...

I sometimes wonder where Gavin's family stayed when they arrived for his funeral. I mean his parents came straight to the centre, but they didn't seem to want to see his flat. Well it's not mentioned that he shared with Tim, which may also be strange to Brittas as he knew they shared a flat.

Hmm, yes, it's not really clear what they know about Gavin at all. Or maybe it's a case of not wanting to know some things...
I guess, being minted (as they seem to be) they probably got a hotel. Maybe with the other kids? Gavin seems to be the only one who's stayed in England - although maybe he's returned to the UK - being an army family they could have spent their childhoods in a series of foreign countries.
I think that GFRIP asks more questions than it answers - but it's Gavincentric, so I love it!

okay, help needed. What crazy situations could happen with drama students, and with a first aid course?

Drama students? Zomg, anything could happen with drama students....they're so...dramatic! My stepmum used to be a drama teacher, was throwing herself around the room to demonstrate something....dramatic...I guess, slipped over and knocked herself out on a table Luckily the kids were sensible enough to call for help ;D And first aid courses...all I remember was the horrible taste of the resuccy-anne and the fact it doesn't prepare you for any real emergencies! xx

I meant more crazy things that can happen, Brittas wise. I know that he can easily insult them... but, other than that i'm stuck. I don't want anything particularly bad to happen to either group though, so, no deaths or big injuries... I know some things that i'm going to have the two groups do, but, i need reasons why they hate Brittas. I was thinking of Gordon trying to give acting tips... but, that'd just be annoying, not make them totally hate filled. I need to expand on it.
I've got three fanfics going on for Brittas right now, not including the ones that are totally on hold, like my Gordon/Laura one.
These three are all Tim/Gavin ones. I'm continuing Hothouse, then i've got the one that i'm asking for help about drama students and first aid course people, then i've got this new one i'm co writing with a friend. erm... no one has a problem with sex scenes, do they?

The thing about Brittas is that he WAS always trying to help, so giving people advice (treating them as if they were stupid) telling them how to do their jobs, because 'I've been on a course', and generally annoying them beyond all reason was pretty much what he did, it was only after he got stuck in that things used to spiral out of control in really silly ways resulting in all the many many accidental deaths and centre-collapses etc. He did always start out just trying to help.
And I have no problems with a well-written sex scene at all!

yeah i know... so, that's where my problem is. I'm trying to make some sort of crazy thing happen. And other than them getting angry... He needs some sort of weird policy or something that he's working on, that can backfire. oh and the sex scene- most of it's going to be written by my coauthor, but i'm going to be helping out with it. the newer one i'm writing has got one that's going to be all me though, that's pretty scary lol. I've never written one before. So, please don't kill me when you read it.
