Tim claims that they have a lot in common in the first episode. So, what *are* their hobbies and interests? What has been mentioned? What can you *imagine* them doing even if it wasn't mentioned?
This can include things that are fads for them as well, everyone has fad hobbies and interests sometimes.

I did think about it, but I don't really know. On a boring level, I imagine they both keep in reasonable shape outside of work, so maybe jogging? Um...not much help, sorry.

They do go to a sort of singles club. Am assuming Gavin was trying not to tell Brittas that they didn't go to the see hyponotist as they were out at a gay club. And they were at some freinds anniversary party as Tim had just gotten the pictures back the day Carole gave birth. Socilalising could also count as an interest I suppose.

yeah i guess... But i do wonder if it WAS a gay club though, because the way he said it made it sound like it was more a social group than a club, because it sounded like it was only there on thursdays... And if they wanted to skip it to go out with the gang, if it were just a club, they could. It's definitely something to do with gay though. Maybe instead of a club as in dancing and stuff, it's more a group of friends who go out together... who knows. Anyway, i was looking for more creative answers than just what has been mentioned in the show. |

A gay singles event? Please! From the way he said it, it seems clear it was something more than innocent socialising - a bit of good old-fashioned Are You Being Served? hanky-panky... Swinging, perhaps?
And on the subject of the sweet young couple's extra-curricular activities, I'd guess that it's constant battles: Gavin's so wet he probably insists on dragging poor old Tim around museums, stuffy country houses, and ancient seaside resorts. Tim looks like a wild party boy to me...

Obviously it wasn't a gay 'singles' event, as they aren't single. It could have been going out dancing in a gay club, or... some sort of social event for gay people. I don't think it'd actually have anything to do with actual sex. Gavin just gets easily embarrassed, and you know how he hides his sexuality.

In a lot of out of town places many pubs are only gay one night of the week. Must admit though that if I went into a gay pub and Tim and Gavin were both there I would make a play for Tim  . I think that they'd also have to be going with friends, for it to be 'important' enough that they miss some other sort of entertainment...
