Who knows. This is a game invented by Brittas to get them to invest in a pension plan!

another great Gavin quote- "People come in here to get changed and - *blush* ... all sorts of things!" *shifty eyes*
Especially combined with the memory that when Tim was being interrogated about his whereabouts, he went all shifty eyed when Mr Brittas was saying that what he and Gavin said didn't match up with what someone else said...

S1 was fun wasn't it. Gavin was talking to Angie who didn't seem to bat an eyelid when he says this. wonder if he just meant him and Tim having a cuddle?

I don't think so. Well, I'm sure they *do*, but I think 'all sorts of things' was encompassing cuddles, kissing, making out, and most probably more, especially since i'd always thought that whole 'soap on a rope' thing sounded like it was supposed to mean more than it did, and it was explained to me last night! I think Angie didn't bat an eyelid because she just assumes he's talking about cuddles and kisses. Or she just doesn't see that he blushed, like she thinks that he just ran out of examples of stuff that people do in changing rooms.

Is it just me, or is the way Tim (Gavin) says 'Timmy' really annoying?

Y'know, I think it may just be me. But honestly; it makes me flinch every time. I didn't even realise it until a few days ago.

I only flinch because it's usually attached to an upset Timmy.

I think maybe it's just the name 'Timmy'. I don't like the way it sounds.
I would quite happily roundhouse-kick Little Timmy in the Christmas Carol into oblivion purely for having a crap name.

It's handy for fanfic though...sets the tone, I think? I guess most couples have slightly silly names for each other...don't they? or is that just me and the boy? And when it's your name...it doesn't seem quite as icky as when you're an outsider hearing it Hee...it's not a very nice name, imho, and I prefer Tim, but I can live with Timmy ;D And it is usually said in a slightly whiny voice. xx

I only flinch because it's usually attached to an upset Timmy. Not always 'I think if Timmy asked him he'd do anything!' But often. I wonder if it was also used originally to emphasise the relationship, a pet name. I'm now actually trying to remember if he used it in S6 and 7. It doesn't sound very managerial, and managerial Gavin was very arrogant (even with the original writers - they made him really obnoxious).

It doesn't sound very managerial, and managerial Gavin was very arrogant (even with the original writers - they made him really obnoxious). They ruined a very good character - except fo the whole 'TIMMMYYYYYY' thing, that was terrible to start with, must agree with you there Jenn - and I say that with much love for Gavin (In both shorts and a lovely shirt & tie). *Did, however, use 'TIMMY' in G/T fic that she wrote when... strange.*
