Hello I'm new here... well, sort of, I've been lurking for a while but thought I'd finally bite the bullet and join... so I just wanted to say hi! I've been a Brittas fan for a few years. I watched it when it was originally on but only really became a big fan after watching the Red Dwarf DVDs and wanting to see more Chris Barrie. ;D So, um, hello! |

Hey, I've just become a huge, huge fan of the Brittas Empire. Unfortunately I'm too young to have seen it first time round (or understood it at least as I was only 1 at the time). However, a friend of mine has been introducing me to all sorts of programs from the 80s and early 90s, with the Brittas Empire being the latest. Aaaand I have to say it is one of the best shows I've ever seen, no exaggeration.
I'm totally in love with the Tim/Gavin story, I've only been able to see a few episodes so far, beginning with Season 3, although I'm hunting for the earlier seasons (and missing episodes) either online or I'll happily buy dvds of all seasons., if only to see the Tim/Gavin parts. I don't know why I love them so much, there's just something about them that makes them so adorably watchable, I just wish I could find more episodes! Just seeing Laura's post about gay couples - that just sums it up, not sure what it is about gay couples but for some reason Tim & Gavin got me from the start!
I hadn't realised Chris Barrie was from Red Dwarf as I've only ever seen a couple of episodes, and while I vaguely remember finding them hilarious it's been so long since I've seen it I can only remember Craig Charles in it from seeing him on Robot Wars.. After being reminded of who he was though it did come back to me and I'll have to hunt down some Red Dwarf episodes quickly!
Anyway I've rambled on enough, basically I absolutely love the show and wish I'd been old enough to follow it originally!

wahey another fan! lol, i was quite young when it first started- being 2 when brittas started and wasn't even born when red dwarf started, i remember later episodes of both rd and brittas, i remember the fight between gavin and tim when i was quite young, i got back in to brittas cos of red dwarf and now i'm a tad insane and addicted to both... but not too bad reallt lol welcome anyway  any help needed don't hesitate to ask, we're all very nice here, and we all obviously know what its like to be new here lol:) enjoy ya self Abix |

Hi there, I'm new. I discovered The Brittas Empire through Red Dwarf which I started watching when I was about 10 or maybe even younger. After years without Red Dwarf, I recently started watching it again...then I found out what else Chris Barrie had done, because I think he's such a great actor. So I started watching Brittas, and really enjoyed it. I was directed here by someone on LiveJournal, so here I am! |
